**About The Role**:
Accessibility Support Officers provides educational support for students with identified diverse learning needs related to their specific disability. Support is provided in classrooms and other learning environments under the direction and broad supervision of the Disability Liaison Officer (DLO), this support is focused on achieving positive educational outcomes.
Accessibility Support Officers may provide specific support for students in the following streams or settings, such as but not limited to note-taking, in-class support and comprehension, tutoring and support with practical and written assessments. Accessibility Support Officers working in these settings have specific additional and critical duties, such as keeping concise notes, communicating with teaching staff and DLOs, advocating for students and contributing to providing the best possible educational outcomes for students with disabilities. The role will require you to build rapport and engage with learners to find ways to adapt training and support so it is accessible and relevant to learners.

- Desirable - qualifications working with students with special needs in an educational setting (or working towards these qualifications).
- Working with people with complex needs and multiple life challenges.
- Working in a multi-disciplinary setting or team, cooperatively and collaboratively.
- Working with students with special needs in an educational setting is desired.
- Previous experience and/or knowledge of vocational education sector.
