**About the Opportunity**:
An opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Cyber Security Lead to provide their cyber security engineering and governance expertise and make a valuable contribution to a high profile Defence project in Sydney. You no need to be overally technical for this role. You will have a strong understanding of Defence systems engineering processes, security processes and policy and governance frameworks.
Reporting to the Combat Systems Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to join a united and engaging team, and will join our business in an exciting time on a permanent and full time basis.
**This opportunity will see you**:
- Lead the implementation of the cyber worthiness activities and the naval program cyber security management plans
- Ensure the naval program is complying with the Australian Defence Force and Australian Navy cyber worthiness governance framework
- Develop and manage the cyber security plans and procedures and provide updates to stakeholders
- Assess cyber impacts of engineering change proposals
- Champion cyber worthiness and cyber security best practice throughout the naval program's enterprise
- Manage the cyber risk register and provide cyber security reports
- Collaborate and develop strong business relationships with customers, suppliers and stakeholders
**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:
- Extensive cyber security engineering/product security engineering experience and an understanding of cyber security principles and governance
- Cyber security risk management experience and an understanding or exposure of cyber security standards
- Relevant University tertiary degree
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate and articulate cyber security to a variety of stakeholders
- A flexible and practical minded approach, and driven to improve current process and solve problems
Whilst not essential, Maritime or Defence industry experience will be highly regarded.
