Our Group operations are based in Liverpool St. (Sydney CBD) providing support across all sites in several key areas including IT, ensuring Evolution are positioned as a leader in effective optimisation of Information Technology.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Information Technology, this opportunity will allow you to be professionally challenged and develop your skills within a fast-paced, growth focused team and company. The Cyber Security Lead will focus on defining and implementing the governance, technical standards, monitoring, and education required to ensure that Evolution maintains an appropriate cyber security stance to protect our digital assets.

**Key result areas for this role include**:
Develop and implement Evolution’s Cyber Security strategy, policies, and procedures to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of information systems and data.
Lead and manage a small team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and develop mitigation plans.
Manage incident response procedures and lead investigations into cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Conduct security awareness training and educational programs to promote a culture of cybersecurity among employees.
Collaborate with IT and OT teams and other stakeholders to design and implement security measures and controls, including network security, access controls, and endpoint protection.

About you

As a successful Cyber Security Lead, you will demonstrate the ability to develop future state cyber models and architectures including a roadmap that will move from the current state to the future model. You will also possess the following:
Bachelor of Computing Science or relevant degree.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build consensus for improvement plans and support their delivery.
Proven experience in a cyber security leadership role, preferably with exposure to a mining or industrial setting.
A strong understanding of cyber security frameworks such as NIST or ISO27001
