**The Role**
- The purpose of this role is to be a shared function with reception duties and banking team duties;
- This includes receipt, balancing & processing of payments from the bank statement to our ERP system. Responsible for correct data entry of payments to customer accounts including direct debit set up;
- It is also responsible for reception duties as a back up to the full time receptionist.

**Duties**
- Download and process all banking files;
- Allocation of payments as per remittance advice received;
- Daily reconciliation of all banking including Web payments;
- Set up and process Direct Debits (including dishonored direct debit payments);
- Follow up unidentified payments with the bank and keep a reconciliation of these;
- Other duties as requested by management that fit the banking function;
- Proactively review accounts for adherence to terms;
- Follow up all overdue accounts;
- Monitor customer payment arrangements ensuring compliance;
- Complete all daily Pinnacle and Collection actions;
- Note pad all action taken on accounts to reflect accurate status;
**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years experience in either full function AR role or Banking role;
- Basic accounting experience;
- Intermediate Excel skills;
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills;
- High attention to detail;
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision;
- Ability to work within a team and share tasks;
- Ability to be adaptable between functions as business requires.
