**Fitter/CNC Operator**

We currently looking for Fitters/CNC Operatorsto join our team.

Continental Steel is a structural steel fabricator with over 50 years of cumulative experience in the construction industry, specialising in steel construction and metallic structural works industry.

The company have designed their premises to automate much of the steel fabrication process, ensuring that they are not only cost-effective but also produce a high-quality outcome for its clients with fabricating structural steel structures, which include Iron metallurgy, Petrochemical and general industry, Airport terminals and hangars, Port plants and structures, Steel constructions for single and multilevel buildings (schools, hospitals, warehouses, car parks, offices, pavilions for exhibitions and fairs).

**Job responsibilities include**:
1. Setting-up and manage CNC machines and other equipment to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.

2. Read and Interpret engineering drawings and requirements and translate them into dimensions for production.

3. Choose suitable material and monitor the machining process

4. Producing and assembling metal parts and components for engineering equipment

5. Using precision measuring instruments and record various stages of production.

6. Performing quality control checks on the final workpiece

7. Using stock material to process parts in order to fabricate the final products.

8. Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic parts

9. Conduct regular checks and assessments of the machinery to guarantee functionality.

10. Conducting maintenance tasks

11. Maintaining health and safety standards

12. Occasionally, performing welding of metal parts

**About you**
- **Qualification**:Relevant Vocational or above engineering qualification
- **Experience**: at least two years of relevant experience
- Must be able to work alone while being supported in a small team environment
- Good communication skills are a must both written and verbal

**What we offer**

The role is for a full-time position with an annual salary between $70,000 - $75,000.

Our company may consider TSS 482 visa sponsorship for people with relevant qualifications and experience.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
