**About the role**

The Field Support Team Leader collaborates with team leaders and management across the Business portfolios manufacturing departments, assisting employees of all abilities to assess and develop job skills to meet business and customer goals. This role is split between daily production supervision and providing advice and coaching to help supported employees develop vocational skills that facilitate them to achieve their employment goals, including supporting or conducting yearly Performance Development Reviews (PDR’s) assessments in collaboration with business leads. You will have the opportunity to grow and to assist in different areas on site across metal fabrication, woodwork, recycling, and administration.

**Daily Procedures**
- Consults with Production Coordinator and support team members to deliver tailored coaching support for supported employees within their teams
- Leads with other Team Leaders daily production activities in delivering products and services to commercial customers
- Schedules and coordinates coaching programs for individual supported employees to achieve business operational objectives and individual employment goals, and communicates progress to wider team
- Supports facilitation of yearly performance development reviews in collaboration with team leaders and Employment Skills Assessor
- Makes observations of teams in working environment and collaborates with management to identify skills and coaching needs to meet job specific requirements, considering customer contract requirements and regulatory quality standards
- Consults collaboratively with Production Coordinator, to support the coordination of internal and/or external training opportunities that add value and purpose to the business needs.
- Mentors and coaches team leaders to effectively supervise Supported Employees. Assists Team Leaders to utilise new technology and databases like CIMs/ Scout and Periscope
- Assists management to support diverse employees and identifies behaviours that require additional support get the best results.
- Supported and coached employees on a 1:1 or small group ratio to effectively develop specific business skills and support achievement of employment goals
- Supports employee onboarding communicating to team leaders/ s and Employment Support 12-week review information recommending changes to employment arrangements
- Promptly reports all incidents, accidents or near misses, cooperating with management reviews to improve WHS management

**What you need to be successful in this role**
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver engaging coaching, performance feedback, and presentations to small groups
- Sound interpersonal skills with negotiation and conflict management skills
- Sound time management and organisational skills
- Sound computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing circumstances, with a customer-centric orientation.

**Skills and Experience**

**Must have’s OR Essential**
- A commitment to Aruma’s Code of Conduct
- Practical understanding of WHS requirements
- A current Australian driver’s license with availability to travel from time to time
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check clearance
- A confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (doses 1 & 2) and Boosters as required.

**Nice to have’s OR Desirable**
- Experience working within manufacturing (metal & woodwork) fabrication
- Experience working within an administration team
- Demonstrated experience in a training role within a similar industry, and relevant coaching and performance feedback expertise
- A relevant trade or diploma qualification.
