- Opportunity for a highly motivated Research Officer to join the Youth Mental Health research team in the School of Population and Global Health to work on clinical trials.
- Full-time or part-time (0.8 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 2 years.
- Base salary range: $80,243 - $88,940 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The Youth Mental Health research team in the School of Population and Global Health focuses on the mental health of young people, including the prediction of mental disorders, treatments, service access and service evaluation.
About the opportunity
- Work as a research officer on the CanARY, CanCAN and CANOPY clinical trials
- Support the recruitment of participants into the trial and ensure delivery of trial requirements across recruitment sites and provide clinical guidance to junior research officers.
About you
- Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or related health discipline.
- Sound understanding of mental illness.
- Demonstrated experience of working with people with mental health concerns.
- Demonstrated experience in building relationships and working collaboratively with key stakeholders at various levels.
Clinical trial experience and experience conducting research assessments with people with mental health concerns is desirable
Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate, Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
