**About the team**
The Office of Research is responsible for formulating and providing policy advice, and for developing and implementing initiatives to effectively solicit, coordinate and administer externally and internally funded research activities which enhance the University’s research reputation.
The Research Operations team is responsible for the procurement and administration of internally and externally funded research grants, contracts and fellowships, and for capturing, promoting and measuring research excellence and impact.
**About the opportunity**
**About you**
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant Postgraduate Qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstration equivalent
- Substantial and extensive management experience in the higher education sector or related field
- Substantial relevant experience in an environment involving multi-sector research collaborations especially at the State or Commonwealth level
- Extensive experience in identifying and sourcing research funding
- Highly developed organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
- High level written and verbal communication skills including negotiation at a strategic level
- Ability to lead and manage a team
