**Job Description**:
**Please note this position can be located in either Sydney or Melbourne.**
As a **Product Owner**, you will be responsible for gathering feature requests, scheduling releases and coordinating sprints. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must be able to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.
Reporting to the Lead Product Owner, the Product Owner will work with other Product Owners, Commercial Segment Teams, and the Delivery Team.
**What you will do as a Product Owner**:
- Contribute to High Performance Team environment
- Actively share knowledge with your entire team
- Lead discussions with Stakeholders in-order to build better knowledge of Symbio Architecture and Product related processes.
- Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders & that they are kept informed of the initiative progress
- Work with Architects to understand the scope of upcoming architectural work, and assist with decision-making and sequencing with the Delivery Lead
- Coordinate the product release to market. Performs system/product demo to key program stakeholders
- Act as the internal customer representative and ensure the product is strongly aligned with customers and the market.
- Possess vertical slicing skills to achieve just in time, incremental value to the customer
- Ability to scope work required for all involved teams and align sprint planning across teams to achieve the user outcome.
- Identify and document all potential risks, assumptions and dependencies for all initiatives. Keeps risks, assumptions and dependencies updated throughout a project
- Can articulate a simple, clear, and compelling product vision.
**Qualifications**:
**What you will need to succeed**:
- 3 years minimum exp working as a Product Owner or in a similar role within IT/Telecommunications industry
- Experience in iteration and sprint planning
- Experience developing user stories, process flows, detailed requirements, acceptance criteria and other documentation
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
- Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
