We currently have permanent opportunities for trade qualified **Aerospace Tradesperson / Assembly Workers **to work across day, afternoon and night shifts.
Working under general supervision, within a cellular work team you will be involved in the pre and post production processes of components, exercising high precision trade skills using various material and/or specialist manufacturing techniques.
**About the role**
- Use of detailed work instruction and specifications to manufacture and assemble aircraft components
- Manufacturing Assembly environment, working within time sensitive processes
- Working with aircraft metallic and composite materials to high precision tolerances
- Follow, interpret and comply with aircraft manufacturing, quality, safety processes and procedures
- Participate in Lean programs by supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the business
- Assist BAA to meet duty of care obligations for occupational health and safety and environmental protection by participating in EHS related activity
- Attending OH&S / EP training and take reasonable care for the health and safety
**About you**
- Trade qualification backed with experience
- Experience with metallic and composite materials working to high precision tolerances
- Proven experience in a production or assembly environment
- Literacy and numeracy skills to follow and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings
- Hand skills with a high level of attention to detail under repetitive conditions
- Ability to work independently or part of a diverse team towards a common goal and to agreed deadlines
- Effective communicator and listener
- Punctual, self-motivated and capable of working with initiative
- Enjoys working with hands and physical work
- Commitment to OHS procedures and exposure to quality systems
- Reliable and willingness to undertake shift work essential
