About the School
Moorooka State School is a school where great things happen - great students, great curriculum, great teachers, and great facilities and surroundings.
We are located on Brisbane's southern outskirts in the family-friendly suburb of Moorooka, near Toohey Forest and just 7 kilometres from the Brisbane city centre. Our community is made up of students from over 50 countries. Many are second-generation families who take pride in our school's heritage and traditions. Our school provides a caring environment with well-balanced curriculum, focusing on improved literacy and numeracy outcomes.
About the Role
This role will include a teaching role and lead the Diverse Learning Team. This position is line managed by our principal and is a member of the Leadership Team.
As the Head of Special Education Services your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following:
Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability.
Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance to related legislation and policies.
