Hays are currently recruiting for a Procurement Partner role in State Government

**Your new company**

Our client is a State Government statutory body that is responsible for delivering services to protect and enhance community safety.

As a part of this organisation, you will be providing expert administrative and procurement support working as part of an established and experienced team.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Head of Sourcing, the Procurement Partner role is to provide specialist procurement advice and support as well as to ensure consistency in approach in all procurement activities.

Your main responsibility will be to ensure a high quality procurement process as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

**Roles and responsibilities include**:

- Establish and maintain effective business partnering relationships with stakeholders
- Manage development of specifications to supply documentation, market analyses, sourcing strategies, tender evaluations, negotiations, and contractual agreements
- Provide support throughout end to end procurement process including procurement policies, compliance, value for money as well the delivery of contractual obligations
- Actively demonstrate negotiation skills to address stakeholder requirements
- Provide advice and support to Chief Procurement Officer, Head of Sourcing and the procurement board
- Lead or support the sourcing process, developing procurement plans and identifying cost savings and operational efficiencies
- Facilitate monthly meetings with stakeholders to review procurement spend data

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you'll come with demonstrable experience in achieving successful commercial outcomes by managing end to end procurement activities including the sourcing and management of complex goods and services contracts within a structured procurement environment as well as the ability to deliver value for money outcomes in a complex environment.

A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, commerce or business administration will be advantageous but non-essential. Public sector experience will also be highly valued.
