**The Role**:
Our long-term CFO is taking a well-deserved break. For this reason, we are looking to appoint an experienced individual looking for a 12 month assignment, someone willing to come out of retirement or someone looking to gain valuable experience for the next step in their career.

As an integral member of the executive leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee financial performance and risk across the organisation and as Company Secretary, assume governance responsibilities. Providing strategic financial advice, whilst remaining hands on, the CFO also plays a mentoring and coaching role to a dedicated team. You will:

- Provide financial advice, analysis and modelling on strategic and operational aspects.
- Oversee budgeting and implementation, providing monitoring of progress and presenting operational metrics both internally and externally.
- Direct proper and timely financial and tax accounting activities.
- Maximise the Organisation’s financial strength through effective cash flow management and appropriate investment strategies.
- Oversee internal and external audit activities ensuring they are on time and with mínimal or no adjustments.
- Manage the provision of payroll and salary packaging services for Doutta Galla employees.
- Support the provision of resident and service contracts.
- Oversee the ICT department, initiatives and ICT strategy.
- Engage with other General Managers to facilitate cross-department collaboration that ensures IT solutions are implemented positively.
- Manage the relationship with external auditors and banks ensuring all requirements for annual financial statements are met.
- Ensure Doutta Galla’s meets statutory and legal requirements.
- Maintain the Organisation’s insurances policies, reviewing and ensuring new areas of insurable risk are identified as they arise.
- Perform Company Secretary duties and responsibilities providing advice on best practice corporate governance requirements and practices, directors’ duties under the law, board reporting and agenda management, AGM and disclosure obligations and proper governance and meeting procedures.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Proven CFO and Company Secretary background or demonstrated experience in a senior/executive financial managerial role, overseeing and leading an operational finance function, within aged care / health industry.
- Strong problem solving and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance (or related field), professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA.
- MBA or Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) or similar will be well regarded.
- Experience in a senior/executive financial managerial position with a proven record of success ideally in aged care / health.
