Celotti Workforce is currently looking for an experienced
**Safety Manager** to join our client's team, located in Melbourne VIC - Airport (Tullamarine).
- **Contract**: Permanent Full Time position
- **Location**: Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine).

The role is responsible for the overall management of safety within the organization and ensuring the project sites and head office remain compliant with the local safety standards and are following the company policies and procedures, whilst improving and maintaining the safety culture of the organization and employees.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop, maintain and review company policies and procedures to promote work health and safety (WHS) awareness and liaise directly with the project teams and Head Contractor Safety Teams (as required).
- Ensure the projects and company is meeting the requirements of its safety accreditations including AS/ANS 4801, ISO 450001 and FSC accreditation schemes
- Manage the annual FSC and ISO audit process including corrective actions
- Monitor project sites, and Safety Management system for non compliances and unsafe work practices
- Monitor, manage and update the Company Safety Management System.
- Provide organisation health and safety specialist advice, technical and management support
- Lead the maintenance and improvement of work, health and safety systems and strategies
- Proactively monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities and carry out scheduled visits and audits of project sites
- Train and follow up with project employees in correct use of the Safety Management System.
- Assist project sites to set up project safety documentation and processes
- Undertake risk assessments of complex tasks collaboratively with project delivery teams and management
- Actively participate in accident investigation procedures
- Conduct project WHS Performance reviews and create/manage corrective actions with project teams
- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Provide senior management with safety statistics and suggested improvements
- Provide input into Bids and Tenders (Safety statistics, metrics and documents)

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3-5 year experience in a similar role
- Construction Experience with electrical installation/airport construction would be an advantage
- Experience in managing WHS Management Systems - prefer working experience in LUCIDITY but not essential
- Experience in ISO and/or FSC Auditing process

**Education/Certifications**:

- Tertiary studies in relation to Work, Health and Safety (Certificate IV in WHS)
