Sydney, Australia Allship Engineering Full time

Mechanical Fitter required for busy Marine Engineering facility in Tempe and site work at Garden Island, Potts Point.

$36-42 per hour depending on qualifications and level of experience.

38 hour work week.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Conduct and support the delivery of mechanical fitting tasks across projects to ensure conformance to client requirements and specifications
- Actively support the Project Supervisors in the management of, and completion of task packs, inclusive of ITP and SWMS
- Provide daily updates to Project Supervisors on the status of job packs you are responsible for
- Inform Supervisors of resource shortages required to complete delegated tasks
- Provide on-the-job training to employees under your supervision
- Provide constructive feedback to Project Supervisors on the performance of subordinates
- Report on WHS issues encountered onsite
- Comply with client and site requirements as detailed in Client Inductions, Site Inductions and as directed by Client Safety Officers
- Advise Project Supervisors of any conflict with clients and fellow employees
- Foster and develop harmonious relationships with clients and fellow employees.
- Participate in site inspections, audits, and reviews conducted by HSEQ department, client HSEQ departments, and third-party accreditation bodies.

**Essential Criteria**
- Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (MEM30219/05) or higher
- Construction White Card
- C Class Licence

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience in Marine Systems
- HRWL - EWP/RB/LF
- HR Drivers Licence
- Working at Heights
- Confined Spaces

**Preferred skills**
- Demonstrate the ability to read, understand, interpret Repair Specifications, Work Instruction and Repair Plans
- Ability to read and understand engineering schematics/drawings
- Physical ability to climb ladders and stairwells as is required in Marine Sites.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
