**ABOUT THE BRANCH**

The Procurement Policy and Systems Branch is responsible for procurement policy development, providing advice to the Government on the procurement policy framework and developing supporting guidance for Commonwealth entities. The Branch provides technical advice to support international trade negotiations and/or obligations on government procurement.

To simplify procurement for both suppliers and Commonwealth government entities, the branch develops and maintains Whole of Government contracting and grants systems, tools and templates, including AusTender, GrantConnect and the Commonwealth Contracting Suite. The Procurement Policy and Systems Branch consists of five sections:

- Procurement & Grants Information Systems - Technical and Operations
- Procurement & Grants Information Systems - Projects
- Procurement Policy
- Trade Policy
- Information Capability Enhancement

**ABOUT THE** OPPORTUNITY**

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for planning, supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the Australian Government Government’s centralised procurement and grant information systems (AusTender, GrantConnect and the Commonwealth Contracting Suite). You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely advice is given to various stakeholders including government entities, suppliers and individuals seeking to do business with government. In this position you will manage a small team of help desk operators to achieve key performance targets, including overseeing requests and incidents whilst prioritising and coordinating urgent or critical issues. Your responsibilities extend to delivering system enhancements including developing and documenting new system requirements, test management and release planning. You will have the opportunity to promote new ways of working, and continuous learning, shaping the future state of procurement and grant information systems.
