This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.

**About the Role**:

- Delivering and collecting the mail, parcels and documents.
- Preparing classrooms for exams and preparing activity/assembly halls, including arranging furniture and seating, relocating furniture from room to room.
- Cleaning and hosing of drains and gutters.
- Assist with requirements of sporting events.
- Banking of school funds.
- Locking and unlocking of buildings.
- Ensure compliance with WH&S requirements including maintenance of safe work environment.
- Ability to liaise with various internal and external personnel (tradespersons) on a variety of repair and maintenance issues.
- Communicate and discuss with Principal/Business Manager on matters regarding periodic maintenance of grounds and facilities.
- Maintenance of ovals through repair, watering and soil maintenance, lawn and garden maintenance, including regular weeding and the use of appropriate insecticides and fertilisers where necessary.
- Maintenance of grounds care equipment such as mowers, brush cutters, tractors and arrange regular service.
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Principal, Business Managers or nominated delegate.

**A mandatory requirement of this role is**:

- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
- OO3 appointees must have possession of a Certificate III qualification or higher relevant to the tasks outlined, from a recognised institution under the Australian Qualification Framework or agreed equivalent which, in the opinion of the Director-General, Department of Education or delegate is acceptable.
