With our expanding technical division, we are introducing a Building and Engineering Technician role to support project delivery, ensure compliance, and drive technical excellence on-site.

**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and Implement Engineering Strategies - Determine, implement, and monitor engineering strategies, policies, and plans that align with DSA’s construction and remediation objectives.
- Technical Advisory & Interpretation - Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, providing recommendations on methodologies and construction procedures.
- Project Scheduling & Budgeting - Establish project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.
- Regulatory Compliance & Safety - Ensure all work adheres to industry laws, regulations, and workplace health and safety (WHS) standards, maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance.
- Quality & Performance Assurance - Oversee engineering standards for quality, cost, safety, timeliness, and overall project performance.
- Efficiency & Maintenance Oversight - Monitor and oversee maintenance requirements for construction equipment and site operations to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Cross-Departmental Liaison - Work closely with marketing, research, and manufacturing managers on engineering aspects of new construction techniques, structural improvements, and project design.

**Key Skills & Experience**
- Qualifications:

- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree in Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
- Technical Proficiency - Strong knowledge of construction engineering principles, materials, and techniques.
- Project Management Skills - Experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction projects.
- Regulatory Knowledge - Familiarity with Australian building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills - Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and optimise construction workflows.
- Communication & Advisory Abilities - Capable of advising teams on technical matters and liaising with key stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail - Strong ability to ensure project accuracy and adherence to specifications.

**How to Apply**

Pay: $79,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
