- **Up to $90,271.04* p.a. total salary package (**$77,045.24 - $81,693.25 + 10.5% super**)**:

**We seek a suitably qualified individual to** **provide proactive building planning direction, support, and advice in line with the City’s strategic objectives.**

***As our Building Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for
- Ensuring building records and information systems are correct and up to date.
- Carrying out site inspections when required to assess compliance of building approvals, with the Building Code of Australia and Statutory controls.
- Providing technical advice and expertise to internal and external customers in relation to building development.

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Essential - Tertiary qualification in Building Surveying or equivalent.
- Essential - Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
- Essential - White Card.
- Desirable - Level 2 Building Surveyor Qualification.
- Previous experience in a building surveyor role.

**Other skills**:

- High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Well developed decision making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to interpret maps and plans.
- Good team work and team building skills.
