The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager Hydrography to join our established Australian marine survey operations. Based from our Adelaide office, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

- Oversee all operational activities to ensure high quality and optimized service delivery, as well as operational efficiency and quality targets;
- Optimise vessel and aircraft capacity utilisation and standardization, advise Commercial Manager on operations and vessel/aircraft budget preparation;
- Control the assigned budget, including actively seeking operational leverage to increase cost efficiency, carry out budget analysis for management and compliance;
- Develop and maintain internal controls and policies, enforce operational excellence and leakage reduction measures for all projects;
- Deal with non-conformities and provide full cooperation to regulatory bodies regarding marine and technical operations;
- Develop and progress the new-build strategy and provide input to contract concept selection.

About You

We are looking for someone who is excited about this opportunity and has:

- Project Management background or Marine related certifications at a technical level or a relevant tertiary degree education highly desired;
- Experience in the marine industry with background in hydrography or coastal surveying would be ideal;
- Extensive years of experience in supervisory or management positions with several direct and functional reports;
- Flexible, reliable, independent, and able to work well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment;
- Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope with solid change management skills;
- Strong organisational capabilities to build strong working relationships with all team members and inspire the team.
