**Student Support and Specialist Programs**
The Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of state-wide services and specialist programs to support student engagement and opportunities including Arts, Sport, Community Languages and International programs.
The Assisted School Travel Program provides transportation services for students with additional needs from home to school and back to ensure all students are able to access education in NSW public schools. Student opportunities across all areas are enhanced through partnerships with industry specialists and stakeholders.

**About the role**

The role provides clerical and administrative support at various locations across the state to support the achievement of business results and customer service excellence in relation to Representative School Sport. The role focuses on providing timely, reliable and efficient administration services through the effective use of tailored service delivery strategies.

**Key accountabilities**
- Provide a range of clerical and administrative services to support the operational functioning of the business unit for the delivery of Representative School Sport in NSW public schools.
- Assist with coordinating local school sporting events, including venue bookings, collection of fees, distribution of sports’ clothing and equipment, and correspondence with schools, families and local businesses.
- Respond in a customer
- Create, maintain, store, retrieve and archive electronic and hard copy files in a timely manner to ensure the accurate and safe storage of information and data records in accordance with departmental policy.
- Provide word processing, spreadsheet and data processing services to support the preparation of routine correspondence, documents and reports and the timely flow of information to and from the business unit.
- Develop an annual work plan that articulates, clarifies and documents the role’s specific responsibilities, key deliverables, expected outcomes and indicators of success over a 12-month period.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
