Finishing Artist

Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Finishing Artist on a contract for 12 months.

**Position Overview**

**Primary purpose of position**
- Create all visual aspects of marketing and communications materials, websites and other media, including infographics.
- Assist in the management the Agency's brand identities and provide specialist creative advice to support all communication plans.

**Relevant duties**
- Support the delivery of initial designs to finished art in printed and/or digital formats
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take layouts from finished art to pre-press and digital ready states
- Organise the productions of proofs and liaising with stakeholders
- Prepare layouts or mock-ups of a design using illustration, text, photograph, colour and computer-generated imagery
- Prepare designs for digital or print publication
- Work collaboratively with Creative Team
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and escalate as needed.
- Follow all Agency policies, procedures and instructions and take reasonable care for your own health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
- Good level competency with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience in creating digital assets including 3D graphics, animation and ad units highly regarded.
- Experience with mark‐up language such as HTML and CSS for basic front‐end design and EDM creations.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

**Essential requirements**
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a level designated by the Agency on request
- Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
- Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
