**Your role**

We are looking for an experienced Environment and Planning Lawyer or Associate to join us. Ideally you will have minimum of 2 years' experience in this area of the law. Your varied role would encompass all aspects of environment and planning law in sectors including energy and resources, development and major infrastructure
**_._** In this role you will work closely with Partner Tim Hanmore and the team of highly experienced and talented lawyers.

As a member of our national Infrastructure, Construction and Property line of business (ICP), you will be working for the firm's major clients in both the public and private sector and will be exposed to a variety of work, including:

- environmental compliance matters
- running litigation in the Planning and Environment Court and the Land Court
- compulsory acquisition matters
- front end advice on the interpretation of environment and planning legislation and public law
- strategic advice for complex infrastructure projects, energy and resource projects, waste and extractive industry projects and major urban developments
- advising on project approval requirements and processes
- drafting contracts including offset agreements, infrastructure agreements and bespoke commercial agreements
- advising on resolving contamination and pollution issues and the apportionment of risk in commercial transactions and
- due diligence for various transactions.

You will have significant contact with the broader ICP line of business and other lines of business within the firm, as the Environment and Planning team is regularly called upon to provide specialist and strategic advice on complex matters across various sectors.
