Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accounting journals including end of month accruals and payroll journals
- Maintenance of the general and subsidiary ledgers including daily and monthly reconciliations between various systems
- Accounting for fortnightly payroll payments and associated employee leave entitlements
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Daily cash flow forecasting and monitoring of bank account transactions to ensure customer and corporate payments are processed timely
- Attend to regular bank matching and reconciliations and investigating banking discrepancies
- Attend to the execution of various investment trades including investment journals
- Process electronic funds transfers, including payroll and international transfers
- Review and process credit card transactions in accordance with the Public Trustee's credit card policy
- Processing of Profit and Loss write-off journals and associated administration as required
- Liaise with internal and external customers effectively to ensure a high standard of customer service
- Contribute to an equitable, healthy and safe work environment.
- Other accounting and administrative duties as directed including the completion of internal control checks and maintenance of the fixed asset register.

Highly Desirable Requirements
- Experience in the use of finance systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products
