Survey Support Technician

The position forays into the ever changing field of data communications and challenges you to think outside the box to provide solutions for customer's requirements, issues & training needs.

**Duties**:

- Configuration and commissioning of GPS Base stations.
- Configuration and commissioning of Total Stations.
- Provide training to surveyors, operators & supervisors.
- Service and support of installed systems.
- Troubleshooting of clients systems in a timely manner.
- Support of surveying/geospatial data & its creation.
- Liaising with surveyors, site supervisors and maintenance personnel. Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
- Maintain a neat and tidy service vehicle. Present yourself professionally to the customer at all times.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Previous machine control support experience (essential)
- Exposure or experience with Trimble/Sitech products highly desirable
- Experience of correction based GPS systems
- Experience with Total Stations, their functionality & use
- Good computing skills and/or networking basics
- Be a good communicator & have good problem solving skills
- Be a team player
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Must have availability to travel to remote locations to work either autonomously or within a team
- Be reliable and punctual

**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
