Qantas is seeking a technically strong and strategically minded Manager Treasury Operations to join our Group Treasury team. In this pivotal role, you’ll support the end-to-end accounting, reporting, and governance of treasury activities that underpin our funding, hedging, and capital management strategies — with direct influence on decisions that reach the Executive Leadership Team and Board.

Key duties include:

- Drive the preparation and reporting of Treasury’s financial performance, budgets and five-year plans
- Lead accounting for complex derivative instruments and funding activities
- Collaborate with Treasury Capital Markets and Risk teams to align accounting outcomes with economic strategy
- Provide key insights and performance analysis to internal stakeholders, rating agencies and external auditors
- Maintain a strong governance and control environment across all Treasury operations
- Develop and maintain critical relationships across Group Finance, Investor Relations, and external auditors

What You’ll Have:

- 7-10 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Accounting or Corporate Finance
- CA/CPA qualification with strong knowledge of technical accounting standards
- Deep understanding of financial instruments, credit ratings and performance benchmarking
- Experience working with complex financial systems and leading cross-functional initiatives
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and the ability to distil complex ideas into clear, actionable insights
