**The Role**
The APS 5 Vietnamese Language Teacher will prepare, develop and deliver Vietnamese language lessons for up to 20 hours of lessons per week.
- Work productively as part of a specialised language team consisting of Australian Public Servants and contractors
- Develop Vietnamese language assessment materials
- Monitor the academic progress of students and provide timely and actionable individual feedback
- Review and implement continual improvement to course materials and assessments
- Provide timely and accurate advice and guidance to the APS 6 Senior Language Teacher
- Assist in the preparation and conduct of In-Country Training programs for students including travel to Vietnam for student assessment
- Assist in the preparation and conduct of domestic cultural engagement activities for students
- Identify and research teaching methodology improvement utilising new technologies
- Other duties in line with the APS5 Standard as directed

**About our Team**
The Vietnamese Language Department is responsible for the syllabus design, material development and delivery of the Vietnamese language courses to ADF personnel. The Vietnamese Language Department have a mindset of continuous improvement utilising new technologies to improve the language delivery experience for students.
- Have a demonstrated a high level of knowledge of Vietnamese language
- Have a demonstrated sound knowledge of different approaches to language teaching and embracing new technologies
- Have Vietnamese teaching experience (preferable in an adult learning environment)
- Have demonstrated experience in syllabus design and material development
- Have a demonstrated applied knowledge of different approaches to language teaching
