**Our Team & Opportunity**
The past two years has seen significant transformation for Vanguard Australia in business strategy and in the discipline of Marketing. A strategy of growth will see Vanguard Australia expand its offer across both the Intermediary (B2B) and the Direct to Investor (B2C) strategies, we have appointed our first Global Chief Marketing Officer, and in Australia, our Marketing department is now a standalone function with a growth agenda to serve both our intermediary clients (financial advisers) as well as directly with our investors. As part of this transformation we are looking for a Technical Writer - Superannuation.
Reporting to the Head of Editorial & Content Strategy, the Technical Writer - Superannuation will be responsible for leading the development, implementation and ongoing management of a range of technical and compliance related communications and product related materials to support Vanguard Super.
**What you will do**
- Communicate technically complex topics and themes in straight forward, plain talk style across a range of communication formats including, but not limited to product disclosure documents, annual reports, significant event notifications and regular member communications.
- Identify and understand topics, needs, and questions that will be addressed in the communications.
- Develop a communication calendar and production plan, identifying contributors/SMEs, content type, format and distribution channel, along with appropriate workflow processes and a framework for maintaining high quality, technically correct content.
- Manage compliance and approvals process as required and be able to interpret multi-source feedback and identify mandatory changes.
- Provide clear direction to creative team as required to ensure communication strategy is well understood.
- Develop objectives and performance measures and use metrics and analytics to inform future communication strategies.
**What we are looking for**
- Experience in financial services industry, ideally within superannuation, would be highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing or similar/related experience in Marketing/ Communications/project management.
- Demonstrated experience in being able to make complex topics easy-to-understand.
- Demonstrated experience working in a high regulated and compliance focused environment.
- Demonstrated experience in gathering and managing input from multiple stakeholders.
**Specialisations that will make an impact**
- Strong communication skills - must be able to pitch at all levels of the organization and have experience guiding stakeholders through the overall communication development process.
- Strong attention to detail across all aspects of communication development including. content development, actions and record management and stakeholder management
- Analytical reasoning - analysing and interpreting complex information to determine and resolve problems, prioritise steps which need to be taken, arrange the necessary resources and set and implement schedules.
- Planning and time management - anticipate obstacles and changes to plans and arrange resources to achieve a resolution and keep deliverables progressing.
- Records management - ability to develop and maintain systems for effectively logging and storing records of key actions, decisions, sources, and draft iterations associated with disclosure projects.
