The Redpath Group is a leading international mining contractor with projects throughout Australia and across the globe.

We specialise in the shaft sinking, mine development, contract mining, raiseboring, underground construction, coal mining, engineering & technical services and specialty services to the underground industry.

**About the Project**

The Project involves the transition from an open pit mine to an underground mine, whereby ore will be mined from underground ore bodies using sub level cave mining techniques.

The Jwaneng diamond mine is currently an open pit mine located in south-central Botswana about 120 kilometers (75mi) west of Gaborone, in the Naledi river valley of the Kalahari. Jwaneng Mine is owned by Debswana, a partnership between the De Beers company and the government of Botswana.

We are seeking experienced Diesel Fitters for roles at our Underground Project in Botswana. We are seeking people that are passionate about sharing their skills and knowledge of Australian Mining methods and processes to transfer to the Batswana workforce as part of an Integrated Operating Team with the Mine Owner.

**About the Roles**

Redpath Botswana are excited to be looking for a mix of experienced trade qualified maintenance professionals including:

- Leading Hand Diesel Fitter
- Diesel Fitters

**Key Requirements**
- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Experience working as an expatriate will be highly regarded.
- Ability and willingness to transfer/mentor their skills & knowledge to Batswana personnel.
- First Aid & CPR certificate.
- A valid International Manual Driver's Licence, or the ability to obtain one.
- A valid National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
- Minimum 5-10 years’ underground mining experience
- A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider it done — safely.
