**About the role**
We are looking for someone who is invested in going above and beyond, delivering emotionally intelligent customer service and patient care that aligns with our culture and values of creating centres of excellence.
The patient advocate’s core purpose is to perform a combination of administrative and practice management tasks within the clinic, working closely with other patient advocates, doctors, nurses, clinical team and the clinic owners. It’s a hands-on role ensuring an optimal patient experience and the smooth operation of the clinic.
**About you**
You should be flexible and agile, organised and an exemplary team player. You should be courteous, helpful and have an intrinsic desire to care for people, by nature, promise and skill. Communication is critical and these skills need be impeccable.
Ideally experienced in medical reception and / or an enrolled nurse interested in administration, you should be confident in using technology and have familiarity with using the MS suite of products. An awareness of Medicare requirements, item numbers, systems & processes together with some knowledge in General Practice accreditation, compliance & RACGP guidelines is preferred but not essential.
In summary, you will need to have the natural ability to seamlessly support patients, clinicians, visitors and stakeholders with a friendly and professional manner.
**Tasks include**:
- Welcoming and receiving patients on arrival
- Working with the team to ensure no calls go unanswered
- Managing billings & appointments
- Monitoring, managing and actioning correspondence in and out

- Performing simple clinical tasks such as observations
- Participating in team huddles
- Assisting clinicians to ensure IT and processes run smoothly throughout the day
