**About the role**
The Executive Officer provides high-level executive support, office management, secretariat, and project support services to the Chief of Staff, Secretary and other Executives, from both an independent viewpoint and as a result of coordinating and evaluating information from a number of sources across the Portfolio.
The Executive Officer liaises with Minister’s Offices and the executive leadership team and plays a key role in corporate governance and ensuring accountability.
**About You**
As the Executive Officer in the Office of the Secretary, you will have at least three years of experience working in the Government sector (mandatory requirement).
You will act with the highest standards of integrity and communicate with professionalism and discretion.
You will be responsible for supporting the overall management of the Office of the Secretary’s operations, establishing appropriate processes, triaging issues, providing advice, and negotiating with senior executives and members of other government entities to ensure high quality outcomes are achieved on time and tin alignment with Government priorities.
- Delivering support to senior executives
- Liaising with Minister’s Offices
- Navigating Government governance frameworks, protocols and procedures, including the Machinery of Government and relevant statutory requirements
- Solving complex problems within tight time frames
- Facilitating Executive briefings and correspondence management
- Collaboration with key executive and non-executive stakeholders
- Information management and advice provision
