**YOUR ROLE**

Join our Group Actuarial division as a Principal Analyst in the Technical Reserving Modelling team. In this role, you'll support advisory teams by providing valuable analytical insights to the business.

The team is responsible for maintaining the Group's technical reserving model platform, conducting internal catastrophe modelling, and developing and maintaining the Group's Internal Capital Model.

This position within the Technical Reserving Modelling team is perfect for those with an interest in financial modelling, programming, and automation, primarily using SQL for data storage and manipulation, and R for predictive modelling and data analysis.

This is a** 24-month max-term contract role**based in **Sydney (Gadigal Country) or Melbourne (Naarm).**

**ABOUT YOU**
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate technical discipline e.g., Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance & Engineering;
- Prior practical experience (5+ years) in the analysis of complex data, with a Preference to experience in General Insurance, reserving or pricing in particular;
- Practical experience with analytical software such as SQL, R, & Python;
- A good communicator and experience in a team leader position would be ideal.
