**About the role**

We are recruiting for an Early Childhood Teacher who has relevant experience or willing to learn. Ideally, as a room leader you will have on the floor experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to be a leader.

Room Leader will be required to:
Create a safe environment for children as well as their team. Through knowledge of child protection procedures are mandatory.
- Develop schedules and enforce routines within the class setting
- Observe and communicate the progress of each child's development
- Understand and implement planning cycle including critical reflections
- Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities
- Keep up to date with current research and resources
- Promote cultural awareness and sustainability within the curriculum which reflects the service philosophy
- Create and maintain maintaining an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy, productive and effective learning environment
- Ensure the centre is a safe area for children, staff and visitors
- Create and maintain excellent relationships with children, families, carers and other team members
- Document children’s progress, routines and interests

**Skills and experience**
- Desire to work with children and demonstrated capacity to enhance their experiences
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven willingness to learn and improve.
- Passion, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to high quality care
- Current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and child protection
- Full Time work commitment with flexibility of hours between 7:30am-6:30pm

**About the company**

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
