You will be responsible for managing a team of shop assistants, achieving financial targets, and maintaining the high quality presentation and control of the fresh food products. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact and grow your career in a family run business with supportive management and great company culture.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the store and manage the performance of the team
- Set and achieve financial targets for the store and its departments
- Lead, coach, and develop the team to ensure objectives and sales goals are met
- Maintain industry standards and practices, including product knowledge and quality control
- Manage staff scheduling and cost control, including wages
- Ensure efficient ordering and stocking of goods for sale
- Provide excellent customer service and manage customer inquiries
- Maintain the store's high level of presentation and cleanliness
- Oversee the purchase of goods for sale in an efficient manner

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
- Knowledge of fruit and vegetable products is a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Fresh food retail experience
- Strong leadership, delegation, and team management abilities
