Lynas is embarking on an expansion in Western Australia, and we have an opportunity for experienced SMP Supervisors wanting to join us on our journey. Lynas has been undergoing an approximately $550M project to expand the capacity at the Mt Weld mine and concentration plant to meet accelerating market demand for rare earth minerals.

**The Role**

We are looking for an experienced **Commissioning SMP Supervisor** (Specifically Mechanical and Piping knowledge) to join us on the Mt Weld Expansion Project. Reporting to the Commissioning Manager you will be responsible for working in collaboration with the Site Integrated Management Team. This 10 month fixed term position will be site based (FIFO ex Perth) and you will be required to work FIFO on a 14:7 days 12hr dayshift roster.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Primarily focused on Commissioning (& Construction) Contractor Supervision and interfaces with Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Operations and Maintenance
- Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to the Lynas and contractor workforce
- Ensure all construction and commissioning work is performed in accordance with relevant systems, processes, and statutory obligations including ensuring everyone is trained and held accountable for their work
- Where required generate workpacks, direct tasks and supervise resources, review work execution with team members, identify gaps, and take corrective action as necessary to improve performance
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, vendors, contractors, troubleshooting any issues that arise during installation and/or commissioning
- Develop/review contractor work method statements, works procedures, and ITP’s for specific works.
- Provide support to Contractors managing Permits, Approvals, QA/QC, safety and quality documents, completions, commissioning and reporting.
- Participating in weekly pre-planning, planning, and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment with the work schedule.
- Undertake client attendance and witnessing for completions, inspections and test records
- Assist Lynas Superintendents and Engineers as required

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Prior experience in Concentration and/or Resource Process Plant maintenance, commissioning and construction as a Supervisor within Australia or for Australian Engineering or Construction firms (min 3+ yrs).
- Trade Qualification and Certifications related to SMP Commissioning, Maintenance, Construction and Fabrication (Specific experience may include slurry pumps, thickeners, agitators, filters, mills, floatation cells, reagent facilities, and utilities)
- Demonstrated initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently, as well as in teams
- Ability to prioritize and deliver project outcomes to timelines and under pressure.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Intermediate MS Office skills (desirable).
- C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Full Australian Work Rights
