**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Operations Manager, you will assist in guiding the Food and Beverage Team across multiple facilities to delivery an exceptional experience for all team members and resort guests, play a leading role in designing & executing the Food & Beverage Operations within the resort.
**A key focus of this position will be to**:
- Ensure the Food and Beverage Department represents the core values of NRMA in terms of professionalism, cleanliness and guest experience.
- Maintain these standards whilst working within monthly financial budgets set by NRMA.
- Work professionally alongside the Chef, Resort Management and Events Team, to create industry leading outlets and functions, and
- Create and maintain a positive, dynamic working culture that creates moments of exceptional quality.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Have a sound knowledge of all menu items
- Training and guiding Food and Beverage Hosts and ensure service standards are met
- Leading team members in all aspects of the daily operation of the Restaurant/Café, providing the necessary assistance and training where required
- Ensuring that approved service standards are established and maintained
- Ensuring that all opening and closing procedures are carried out to an acceptable standard
- Handling complaints immediately, courteously, and satisfactorily and escalates the Assistant Manager or Resort Manager
- Maintaining efficient operating procedures for the Cafes point of sale cashiering computer system, ensuring accuracy and balancing when applicable
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and care of all equipment and materials in the Restaurant/Café.
- Promptly reporting any maintenance work required to the Food and Beverage Manager
- Working with the Food and Beverage Manager and Resort Manager, to maintain stock levels
- Assisting Food and Beverage Manager with daily briefings when required
- Conducting on the job training for Food and Beverage Hosts
- Attending all scheduled meetings when required
- Taking guest and customer orders
- Serving food in an efficient and professional manner.
- Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to kitchens
- Washing and cleaning Restaurant/Cafe and kitchen equipment as required
- Ensuring practice of hygiene and safety precautions as well as compliance with park and company policies by the kitchen staff through training.
- Elevating any key issues to the Food and Beverage Manager when required
- Cleaning duties as required
- Barista duties as required
- Other duties as may be required from time to time due to operational needs
- Reporting any workplace hazards as you see them and support the company in its endeavour to provide a safe workplace
- Representing the company in a positive manner expounding the values, ethics and pride at all times.
**Qualifications**:
Ideally, you will have previously managed or held a senior role in a Food and Beverage department you are now ready to move into a role where no one day will ever be the same. Your hands on experience will assist in leading & mentoring the department to success.
- Experience in a restaurant and or previous customer service experience.
- Outstanding guest relations and communications skills and the ability to relate to and host resort guests from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds
- Ability to communicate to the resort team the NRMA business goals, as well as the resort specific goals, and to encourage and support initiatives which may assist those goals
- Knowledge of and ability to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Ability to maintain control and composure in difficult situations
- Knowledge of relevant statutory/regulatory requirements impacting on resort operations such as Liquor Accommodation Acts and Environmental Legislation
