About Role
This role sits within the NSW Multicultural Centre for Women’s and Family Safety. The Research and Data Analyst Specialist is responsible for leading research initiatives and data evaluation to support the development of service models and sector capacity building and inform policy advice and advocacy. The role will lead consultations and data analysis to inform policy and practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the development of evidence to enhance culturally responsive DFSV practice, strengthen sector capacity and inform policy settings.
- Facilitate research relevant to culturally responsive DFSV practice, including demographic changes and trends within different communities and migration patterns.
- In collaboration with the Centre team, establish and develop relationships with relevant stakeholders to support evidence development, practice development, and policy advice and advocacy.
- In collaboration with the Centre team, contribute to the design of monitoring and evaluation processes and develop policy advice based on evidence and data collected by the Centre, in support of the Centre’s sector capacity building initiatives and to inform the design of service models.
- Hold consultations with sector and communities to develop evidence of good practice, needs and gaps, and inform policy and practice advice.
- Participate in the broader activities of the Centre.
- Other duties as directed from time to time within your skills range and capacity.

Essential Criteria
- Relevant tertiary degree qualification, particularly in research and data analysis.
- In-depth understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Research to practice translation skills suitable for service development activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills relevant to holding effective consultations and developing policy advice.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Multicultural background or extensive experience in the multicultural services sector.
