In this role, you will be expected to perform any combination of the following responsibilities:

- liaise with other Principal Education Officers, Learning Area Managers and external stakeholders to enact efficient marking operations, data collection and analysis, and marker intervention as required
- lead teams responsible for quality-assurance processes to support state-wide implementation of NAPLAN tests
- manage, document and create policy and process for complex statewide operations that comply with protocols and legislation to mitigate and resolve risks
- provide expert advice to internal stakeholders including Managers and Directors in the Assessment, Reporting and ICT Division on matters related to NAPLAN data, reporting, marking and administration
- manage and deliver business priorities within designated timelines and using allocated resources
- lead and participate in teams to develop professional learning and development resources responsive to the needs of Queensland teachers in accordance with literacy and numeracy current research pertaining to high quality assessment development and administration
- design and present training programs, workshops, seminars and support materials for internal QCAA staff and other key stakeholders to support NAPLAN testing, reporting and associated activities
- liaise with government and non-government educational organisations on assigned projects
- create and maintain professional relationships between the QCAA and key stakeholders such as ACARA
- prepare briefings, correspondence and reports, communicating with personal, excellent literacy skills with grammar, punctuation and spelling
- contribute to a performance management and development culture by participating in regular two-way feedback discussions with your manager, and through quality management and feedback to staff when leading projects and activities.
