The Role:
- Ensure compliance with the Accounts Payable policies and procedures and proactively address non-compliance within the Accounts Payable area- Resolve issues related to the data interpretation suggested by the scanning solution (Exflow) and escalate any issues with the Senior AP Analyst and AP Manager.- Oversee the accounts payable process, including processing invoices and payments- Ensure that all invoices are recorded accurately and paid on time- Assist in weekly supplier payment cycles- Monitor and reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies- Work with purchasing and receiving departments to ensure that all purchases are properly authorised and recorded- Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable process- Supervise and train accounts payable associates.
About you:
- Comprehensive experience in a related finance, accounting and/or Accounts Payable or similar role, and/or knowledge of computer-based accounting systems (D365 preferable).- Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience and / or knowledge of company policies, practices and personnel in order to effectively carry out responsibilities- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable roles, with a demonstrated understanding of AP processes and best practices.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel- Prior supervisory experience preferred
