**About the role**:

- **Leverage your **strong financial and analytical skills**

Safe, effective and efficient transport of goods and services is an essential part of the Officeworks’ customer experience.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining the domestic transport network and Officeworks’ relationship with our transport partners, this key role will ensure transport services meet our business requirements and ensure costs are tightly controlled against budget, driving positive financial outcomes.

This includes ensuring the appropriate governance and structure is in place with the transport partners to provide value driven services and meets their obligations in areas including Safety, Compliance and CoR (chain of responsibility).

Key areas of responsibility:

- Actively contribute to a safe work environment and promoting a proactive safety culture, ensuring safe movement of freight is planned and executed by all stakeholders
- Provide a national Transport Operations Framework to be followed by the state Supply Chain teams
- Partner with our transport providers to ensure alignment with the Logistics Partners engagement model and service agreement compliance and that our transport network meets the overall needs of our business
- Determine most effective and efficient carrier/service for the movement and management of freight within the safety guidelines and alignment to our Supply Chain strategic pillars around Agility, Reliability and Cost efficiencies
- Ensure overall governance is maintained and reported across transport partners nationally
- Continuous network review to identify opportunities to reduce the cost to deliver
- Ensure Supply Chain has timely visibility over all aspects of BAU transport operations, supported with accurate reporting of performance metrics

**About you**:
This key Supply Chain role centres around stakeholder engagement excellence. Exceptional communication and relationship building skills will see this leader forge strong commercial relationships with a passion for Supply Chain and customer service. You appreciate the importance of a cohesive and well-informed team in delivering robust and reliable transport services in a safe, efficient and compliant manner.

Tertiary qualified in a related Business/Logistics discipline, we are looking for a seasoned leader with an established background in working with Tier 1 Logistics Partners and transport providers within a retail environment. Multi-site or state management experience will be highly desirable.

With strong analytical and IT skills, you will have solid transport management system knowledge and a striking attention to detail. With a passion for learning and educating others, you seek for continuous improvement and adding value for operational excellence.
