Water Design Technician

GHD’s Victorian Digital Design Business Group is seeking an ambitious and driven individual to join the team with the desire to develop into a future team leader. Your position as a **Water Design Technician **will see you work closely with the team leader to assist in coordinating resources, develop 3D models and collaborate with other digital design members and engineers to influence the successful delivery of critical projects.

**Working with the Team Leader - Civil & Water Infrastructure, this position offers a variety of work that will see you involved in**:

- Delivering digital documentation primarily in the form of Plant 3D models and drawings, in consultation with engineers and technical leads within the agreed timeframes.
- Developing 3D design concepts and mechanical solutions for a range of Water projects along with potential Civil industry related infrastructure projects.
- Coordinating and collaborating in multi-discipline projects through the use of Navisworks/BIM360.
- Supporting, coordinating, and collaborating with other digital design team members to achieve project success.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Liaising with clients on the technical aspects of projects where required.
- Contributing to GHD’s continuous innovation of digital delivery.
- Ensuring project design and documentation complies with client design standards and requirements of the GHD Health & Safety system.

**What you will bring to the team?**
- Experience working in the Water Industry, ideally with exposure to a consultancy environment.
- Experienced in Plant3D with sound knowledge of design technology, processes, and data management.
- Minimum Diploma TAFE qualification in Mechanical Drafting with a demonstrated history in the detailed design of plant and equipment.
- A passion for driving innovation and improving collaboration across groups working on multi-disciplinary projects
- A conscious approach to support, guide and encourage knowledge-sharing with other digital design team members.
- An ambitious attitude to enhance your skills and abilities to become a future leader.
