**The Role**

We are looking for a dedicated digital video producer to join our team to create compelling content for SBS News’ digital platforms.
- Pitching, writing and editing distinctive news, feature and explainer videos with a focus on SBS Charter and reflecting the broad experiences of all Australians
- Producing & editing video content for SBS News website + YouTube, TikTok & Facebook
- Using well developed journalism and newsgathering skills when sourcing and filing videos
- Coordinating with the digital team to publish videos on SBS News digital platforms
- Repurposing video assets when needed
- Employing creative storytelling techniques for different platforms
- Participating in dialogue around daily coverage of news and being an active member of the news team

**About you**

You must be an experienced journalist with video producing end editing skills with a strong eye for detail and the angles that matter to our audience. You’ll jump at the chance to tell stories that matter and seek to bring forward unreported angles.
- Demonstrated experience writing original video scripts for national or international news organisations.
- A demonstrated an understanding of media law, as well as the importance of balance, impartiality and fair dealing in reporting.
- Ability to use editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, and content management systems.
- Strong understanding of digital video storytelling and how people consume digital video '“ with a great knowledge of video trends on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok
- A commitment to maintaining our editorial integrity and high standards of accuracy.
- A keen interest in international and national news, and a passion for providing news for all Australians
- A hunger to stay across new innovative ways to reach and engage wider audiences via video.
- A passion for teamwork and collaboration

The role is rostered and will include mornings, evenings, weekday and weekend work.
