The patient services assistants work closely with our clinical teams to care for our patients. Duties include internal patient transport, supporting patient care, cleaning as well as many other patients facing duties.

**About the role**

Patient services assistants support the care of our patients by supporting the clinical teams in their roles. No day is the same in this role. Patient Services Assistants work across all areas of the hospital responsible for many patient related tasks. This may include internal patient transport, bed cleaning, patient support, movement of equipment, numerous other cleaning & patient related tasks.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Certificate III in Healthcare
- Experience in a similar role, desirable
- Experience using CARPS or another task management system
- Experience using bed movers, hover mats and other types of equipment
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care and safety
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skill
- Available to work a variety of shifts including over the December and January period including public holidays if required.
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
