About the role..
In this rewarding role, you will provide individualised, person-centred support to customers with complex physical, intellectual, and behavioural needs. Your role will go beyond daily care - you will be instrumental in promoting independence, dignity, and choice, while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Based in Ryde and Rydalmere, this is an opportunity to work Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day, on a casual basis, with a view to PPT. The role offers consistency, structure, and the opportunity to build meaningful rapport with the people you support.
We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of positive behaviour support, a calm and resilient attitude, and a genuine commitment to enhancing quality of life.
**Key responsibilities include**:
Provide personal care, mobility, and daily living support with dignity and respect
Implement and adhere to Positive Behaviour Support plans and risk strategies
Support the customer in community access, appointments, and social engagement
Maintain detailed, accurate documentation and incident reporting
Collaborate with allied health professionals and support coordinators
Contribute to a stable, safe, and structured routine for the customer
About you..
You’re a compassionate, emotionally intelligent professional who thrives in complex support environments. You have proven experience working with people who live with challenging behaviours, and you understand the importance of consistency, boundaries, and clear communication. Your focus is always on the person - their goals, their needs, and their potential.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or relevant qualification
Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours (essential)
Current First Aid & CPR certification (advantageous)
Valid Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
