The role Reporting to the Director, Research Strategy and Investment, you will conduct critical reviews and analyses of literature concerning health technology innovations and supporting models of care. Your expertise will play a crucial role in linking clinical service planning and workforce development. You will employ a recognised Horizon scanning methodology to develop an early warning information sharing process for new technologies. Your insights and advice will be instrumental in guiding the adoption of these technologies into clinical practice, enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery. Working with appropriate databases, you will develop workflow and gated processes to assess internal and external technology opportunities for Queensland Health, allowing us to explore and leverage the most promising innovations.
Additionally, you will be responsible for writing comprehensive business cases to support project proposals and facilitate the assessment of new technologies. Your ability to provide timely and expert advice to the minister, Director-General, and Executive Management Team will be essential in making informed decisions regarding state-wide and national services that involve high-cost, low-volume technologies.
The successful personTo be successful in this role, you will have advanced project management skills, including the ability to define project tasks, set priorities and coordinate activities effectively to meet competing deadlines, with a history of proven and sustained outcomes. You will have proven ability in strategic research, conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills, to provide advice on state and national adoption of new technologies.
In addition to this, you Weill understand the funding mechanisms particularly Activity Based Funding, grants systems and revenue sources as they affect the adoption of new technologies, and comprehensive understanding of the health sector, including knowledge of the Queensland Health environment preferably with an understanding of clinical service delivery.
