A Landfill Gatehouse Operator job in Melbourne paying circa $34 per hour for a local council.
**Your new company**
A local government organisation close to the northern suburbs of Melbourne, has a temporary job for a Landfill Gatehouse Operator working in the Waste & Sustainability department.

**Your new role**
Reporting to Waste Management Engineer, you’ll
- Provide professional, friendly, and effective customer service to internal and external Landfill and/or Resource Recovery Centre customers and stakeholders in a timely manner
- Safely operate the gatehouse and weighbridge at Council’s Landfill and/or Resource Recovery Centres in accordance with Council’s policies and procedures, providing the Council and residents with a service that has positive environmental outcomes by maximising resource recovery and diversion from landfill

**What you'll need to succeed**
As well as qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, you’ll have:

- Knowledge and experience in environmental waste management and/or landfill.
- Awareness of OHS Practices and have current driver’s licence - as travelling between sites will be required
