This is an exciting phase in our history and we are looking for an experienced Logistics Officer, based in Melbourne that will see you working within our Engineering Services division.

As the Logistics Officer, your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
Responsible for accurate data entry in the MRP system to ensure stock levels are accurately reflected in the system

Monitor, stock take and control levels of consumables and manage relevant SDS (electronic/manual) registers with a risk based approach

Hands-on role with a blend of manual handling, forklift driving with some warehouse systems administration responsibility

Maintain inventory levels and re-order as required

Record keeping, filing and management of specific registers and documents as required.

Management of procurement relating to QinetiQ Technology and Engineering Centre (QTEC) core and ad hoc sustainment/engineering contracts as required

Support the QTEC Quality Engineer for all quality assurance and governance activities as required IAW the QTEC and QinetiQ quality policies

Support the Workshop Manager and perform appropriate maintenance planning, scheduling and forecasting as required including raising maintenance packages

Ensuring the integrity and proper storage of goods in the warehouse

Pick parts and make them available for assembly as required by production

Co-ordinating freight booking, consignments and pricing

Making sure smooth flow with parts organisation, preparation and availability of parts as per task list

Supporting maintenance and production activities as needed

To be successful in the role of Logistics Officer, you will need demonstrated experience, knowledge & skills in the following areas:
Current Drivers licence

Forklift driving license or the willingness to undertake forklift operator training

First Aid qualification or the willingness to undertake first aid training

Previous experience as a warehouse store person or equivalent role

Familiarity with inventory systems, management and processes

Familiarity with barcoding of stock items

Have excellent organisational skills to ensure that the warehouse and paperwork is managed in an efficient manner

Superior attention to detail, fast learner, and with a positive can-do attitude

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Professionally presented at all times, reliable and punctual

Defence experience (Desirable)

Experience interpreting and working with MRP (Desirable)

Familiarity with Defence packaging standards (Desirable)
