Your Role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital

In this role you will provide training, leadership and support to the Patient Admissions, Admissions Services team and Manager of Patient Admissions. You will enable caregivers to deliver a high quality, efficient and key stakeholder focused service that will support a streamlined patient admission experience.

This role is integral in driving change and implementing initiatives which will lead to improved efficiency, accuracy, resource utilisation and service delivery which support the hospital needs and the patient journey.

The Position- Participates in or oversees the effective recruitment, induction and training of caregivers.- Provides key support to caregivers to optimize their learning and reflect the values of SJOG. Provide support to the team by responding to ad hoc queries and addressing, investigation or escalating any issues that may arise.- Develops and maintains critical resources which support caregivers to undertake their roles to best effect and the highest chance of processing work accurately, efficiently and consistently.- Maintains sustainable caregiver engagement through performance development, coaching, mentoring, team building as well as reward and recognition.- Undertakes regular performance appraisals for all caregiver direct reports incorporating feedback from relevant key stakeholders.- In collaboration with HR and the Manager Patient Admissions, manages interpersonal conflict matters and grievances to maintain departmental relationships.- In consultation with the Manager Patient Admissions participates in caregivers Performance Improvement Plans- Daily investigation and follow up of accounts on hold to ensure data quality relating to admissions, and correct documentation is maintained within Webpas.- In consultation with the Manager Patient Admissions after investigation of complaints and incidents and implement caregiver training and resources, or other measures, to prevent reoccurrence.- Ensures all relevant operational, competency requirements and information for the area are up to date, communicated and understood.- Manages caregiver UKG rosters, sick and annual leave ensuring maintenance of effective service levels to balance workload and budgetary constraints including KPI’s and Productivity.- Ensures that caregiver resourcing is allocated efficiently and flexibly as required.- Facilitates departmental caregiver meetings as well as attending other meetings or contributing to working parties as required.- In consultation with the Manager Patient Admissions develops and implements policies, procedures, guidelines and resources which facilitate excellence, consistency and best practice in service delivery.- Works closely and maintains excellent relationships with the Coordinator Patient Admission bookings, Pre Admission Clinic, Team Leader Switchboard, Clinical Command Centre and Patient Flow Managers.- In consultation with the Manager Patient Admissions, prepares for and ensures that accreditation, private licensing and other critical requirements are met.- Monitoring and escalation of patient feedback to Manager and Internal stakeholders.- Utilises and contribute to all SJG systems and processes which measure, monitor and report performance across a range of performance measures and targets including KPI’s.- Relief as required for Manager Patient Admissions, Coordinator Patient Bookings and Team Leader Switchboard

You will have a demonstrated understanding of administrative procedures, patient management systems and funding models in an acute private hospital environment with a minimum five years’ experience in a similar role.

To succeed you will have experience in supervision and team leading along with training and implementation of training manuals and maintaining resources. Advanced computer skills across a range of MS Office software packages and business systems as well as an understanding of WebPas is essential.

We can offer you- Salary: $98,060 to $101,630, plus 11.5% superannuation- Permanent full-time position- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
