- Electoral Commission SA is expanding the team as we prepare to plan and deliver one of South Australia’s largest logístical events, the 2026 State election._

ECSA is seeking a **WHS Advisor** to support the strategic delivery of work health, safety and welfare activities and initiatives for the 2026 State election.

The WHS Advisor will work in partnership with managers, supervisors, and employees to provide practical support in the development and implementation of systems, procedures and programs across ECSA to support the achievement of a safe and healthy work environment.

The WHS Advisor will play a key role in assessing work health and safety (WHS) risks, monitoring fatigue management policies and procedures, and contribute to work health and safety training and education.

Reporting to the Manager, Security, key responsibilities include to:

- Develop and implement WHS systems, policies, procedures and programs including templates, forms, guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, associated acts, regulations, codes of practice and Australian standards
- Conduct inspections, investigations, auditing and reporting in regard to WHS compliance, incidents and prevention
- Assist and support managers / supervisors by undertaking WHS risk assessments and other WHS activities/initiatives through provision of advice, training and instruction.
- Monitor fatigue management policies and procedures and ensure working hours are in line with approved parameters.

**Special Conditions**
- This role is offered on a temporary basis up to 30 April 2026.
- In order not to compromise the strict neutrality of the Commission, no person who is active in political affairs or intends to carry on this activity may be an employee.
- Employment is dependent upon a Criminal history check that the Commission finds satisfactory.
- Extensive out of normal working hours duty may be required during the period of an election.
- Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.

**Remuneration**
- ASO5 - $85,790 to $95,413 per annum
