**About Your New Role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic retail leader to join our team as a
**Store Manager **at our first DecoRug store in Canberra, Fyshwick. As we transition this franchise store into a corporate store, this role will play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of this location:

- Working closely with the State Manager - NSW & ACT, lead and oversee the transformation of the store from a franchise store to a corporate store.
- Build, lead and develop a new team through the hiring and onboarding process, ensuring a strong and cohesive group to represent the DecoRug brand.
- Take ownership of store P&L, operations, including sales performance, stock management, and customer experience.
- Act as the brand ambassador for DecoRug in the Canberra region, establishing and nurturing relationships with customers and local stakeholders.
- Implement the retail group strategy and initiatives locally to drive sales growth and ensure operational excellence.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in a retail management role, with a successful track record of leadership and store performance.
- Although not essential, previous experience in Home Improvement speciality retail, particularly in flooring, carpet, shutters, or related areas, is a significant bonus as is a passion for interior styling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and an understanding of the retail market in Canberra.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to drive sales and operational efficiency.
- Experience in leading store transitions or transformations is a plus.
